Remembering A Special Friend

I met Brianna (Bri) VanderVeen at Biggby Coffee in the Village of Standale in Walker,  MI

Bri was a junior at Kenowa Hills High School.

Bri's smile lit up the store.  We talked about my dad who is a WWII hero and passed away on March 6, 2021 at the age of 105,  Bri's aunt Sarah who works at St. Ann's Home and took great care of my dad and mother-in-law Dodie Poniatowski and her great uncle Dan Karpowicz who I graduated from West Catholic High School with in 1972.  We talked about Bri's lacrosse career.
